Oscars 2010: Christoph Waltz gewinnt für "Inglourious Basterds"

Bester Film wurde "The Hurt Locker" von Kathryn Bigelow, die sich zugleich als erste Frau über einen Oscar für die beste Regie freuen durfte. Insgesamt gingen sechs Oscars an "The Hurt Locker"; "Avatar" musste sich mit drei Preisen begnügen. Jeff Bridges ("Crazy Heart") und Sandra Bullock ("The Blind Side") wurden als beste Schauspieler geehrt. Im Rennen um den besten nicht-englischsprachigen Film setzte sich überraschend "El Secreto de Sus Ojos" aus Argentinien gegen den deutschen Beitrag "Das weiße Band" durch.
